Authorities are looking for a 28-year-old Holland man in connection to a shooting in Georgetown Township.
At 11:05 p.m. on Friday, October 23, deputies arrived at Brookmeadow North Apartments to a report that a person had been shot.
Upon investigation, they found that the 28-year-old man showed up to the apartment of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. The man got into an argument with the new boyfriend, 27, and ex-girlfriend, which lead to the Holland resident shooting the boyfriend in the stomach. The suspect then left before deputies arrived to the location.
The 27-year-old victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries while his girlfriend remained uninjured. The man responsible for the shooting is still at large.
This is still an active investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
