LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Lugnuts have officially announced the schedule for the Lemonade League.

In a press release sent to Fox 47, the Lugnuts said the league has at least 17 dates set aside for games to be played at the college wood-bat league at the Cooley Law School Stadium from July 23 through Aug. 20.

The Lugnuts said capacity for fans at the stadium has currently been limited to 100 with masks required for admission.

Fans can enter the ballpark through the Cedar Street gate where they will be asked to take a questionnaire and get their temperatures taken before entering the stadium, the Lugnuts said.

Seating will be limited to outdoor tables in left field at Good Hops where fans can order food and drinks.

“We have been working closely with the Ingham County Health Department on all safety precautions and protocol,” said Lugnuts General Manager Tyler Parsons. “We’re excited for our fans and the players alike about playing baseball again at Cooley Law School Stadium, and so we’re working together as a team to follow the health policies set before us in order to make and keep this a reality.”

Besides new seating and entrance protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lemonade League games will look a little different than a regular baseball game.

The Lugnuts said the league will use yellow baseballs instead of regular white balls, games will be shorted to seven innings instead of nine and if a game is tied at the end of the seven innings, a one-on-one Home Run Derby will determine the winning team.

All tickets for Lemonade League games are $12 each and include a complimentary gift, the Lugnuts said.

Season ticket holders, group leaders and sponsor will be given priority for purchasing tickets, the Lugnuts said.

For $50, the Lugnuts said fans may purchase a “Face in the Crowd,” a weatherproof cutout of themselves or anyone else they want to include, which will be presented by the Jackson National Life with a percentage of the proceeds going to Ele’s Place.

The Lugnuts said every Lemonade League game will be livestreamed for free across multiple social and digital platforms including the Lugnuts’ Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Lugnuts said it will announce players for the league early next week with teams being split into the Collegiate Lugnuts versus the Collegiate Locos under Director of Baseball Chad Roskelly and coaches Cam Vieaux, Riley McCauley, Pete Romsek and Cullen Turner.
