Lansing man arraigned on multiple home invasion charges

Lansing police responded to a burglary in the 100 block of Willard Tuesday, April, 18th at 5:30pm.

By the time officers had arrived to the scene, the suspect had left. Assisting Officers located Jermaine Hezekiah Shaw, 25, a few blocks away, he was carrying a computer.

They were able to identify Shaw as the suspect because he was in possession of items taken taken during the burglary, he also had a handgun.

Shaw was taken to the Lansing Police Detention Facility. Follow-up investigation revealed that Shaw was also responsible for other burglary's before the Willard break in.

Shaw was arraigned in 54-A District court in front of Judge Alderson on two home invasion 1st degree felony charges, one home invasion 2nd degree felony charge, a carrying concealed felony charge, and a felony firearm charge.

His bond has been set to $150,000.00 Cash/Surety. Shaw is scheduled in 54-A District court in front of Judge DeLuca on the following dates: Probable Cause Conference: Friday 4/28/17 @ 1:00 p.m., Preliminary Hearing: Friday 5/5/17 @ 8:30 a.m.
