UPDATE: Lansing murder victim identified

The Lansing Police have identified the person shot in a Lansing apartment complex early Tuesday morning.

25-year-old Terrance Lewis of Lansing was shot to death in a 5th floor hallway. 

Police were called to the 3200 block of South Washington Ave just before 5:30 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired. 

Police say they think the victim and the shooter knew each other and that it wasn't a random crime. 

No arrests have been made.

We're learning more about an early morning shooting on Lansing's southside.

Police say they responded to an apartment complex in the 3200 block of South Washington for a shots fired/shooting call. Officers arrived to find a black male, about 20-years-old, dead in the hallway on the 5th floor and a crime scene in one of the apartments. The victim has yet to be identified.

Police are currently processing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and following up on leads. They believe the victim and suspect knew each other and say the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence.
