Lansing police need help finding stabbing suspect

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing police are investigating an altercation involving a person who injured two others late Tuesday night on the 1000 block of E. Cesar Chavez Ave.

Police said one person was stabbed and another was hit in the head with some type of object.

The altercation happened in the area of Cesar Chavez and Pennsylvania avenues.

Police are still gathering information so they can release a description of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call 517-483-4600.

When police arrived at the scene Tuesday night, they located the stabbing victim and person with a head injury.

Police said both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police learned the suspect cut one of the victims during the altercation. The other victim was hit over the heat with an object around that time.

After arriving at the scene, police eventually learned the victims went to the location on Cesar Chavez to fight the suspect.
