Whether Larry Nassar should get a new sentence from a new judge is scheduled to be argued in court Thursday.
Nassar was sentenced by Judge Janice K. Cunningham on February 5, 2018 to 40 to 125 years in prison on three sexual assault charges he pleaded guilty to in November 2017.
Over the course of three days, several dozen survivors gave victim impact statements before sentencing.
According to the motion, Nassar was not given due process because his sentencing was influenced by calls for broad legal and cultural change.
The motion also mentioned an incident where a father of three Nassar survivors lunged at Nassar after one of his daughter's gave their impact statement.
A hearing on the motion filed will be heard in Judge Cunningham’s courtroom at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
News 10 will be there and will let you know what happens.
