EAST LANSING, Mich. — On Sunday, kids got a chance to do some really cool hands-on activities at the Impression 5 Science Center for Engineering Day.

Children were able to build robots, control robotic devices and connect circuits along with volunteers from the MSU Engineering program.

"I hope that kids take away that engineering can be fun and that it's not just a discipline that's kind of scary, just for certain people but that it's really hands-on, and that anyone can do it," said Kathryn Page, the organizer of the event. "You just have to be curious and have a lot of fun with it."

There were ten groups of kids and at the end of the competition, the audience voted on their favorite group.

The winners got a $500 gift card.
