Man hospitalized in shooting in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is investigating a shooting near Everett High School that sent a man to the hospital.

Lansing police responding to an emergency call in the 4100 block of Burchfield Dr. near Everett H.S. (Source: WILX)Officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 4100 block of Burchfield Drive just before 8 p.m. Thursday.

Lansing police say a 20-year-old Lansing man was shot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. Lansing police say the shooting was not random and there is no threat to the public at this time.
