A Jackson man is recovering from injuries after being hit by a train.
Police say the 32-year old man was walking on the tracks Sunday Sunday afternoon between North Blackstone Street and Steward Avenue. Jackson police say the man was wearing headphones, and did not know the train was coming up behind him.
Police say the trains engineer told them he saw the pedestrian and sounded the horn well in advance, but the pedestrian never responded. The man was hit in the leg.
He was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance with a non-life threatening, yet severe injury to his leg and foot.
