Mason Public Schools is seeking a $69.7 million bond proposal on the November 7, 2017 ballot. This bond proposal includes improvements to all school buildings including needed facility upgrades, technology infrastructure to enhance student learning, improved traffic flow and secure entryways. The membership of the Mason District of the Michigan Education Association (MDMEA) endorses the bond proposal.

Teachers in Mason work in these conditions every day and see firsthand the changes that are necessary to create a better learning environment for students. The bond proposal includes upgrades to classroom environments, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), technology infrastructure and networks, furniture and equipment upgrades, buses, and improved traffic flow for student drop-off and pick-up.

Eric Haynie, MDMEA Executive Council Member, stated, “Our members have voted to endorse the proposal. We believe it will provide needed upgrades to our buildings and infrastructure. These improvements will enhance our students’ learning.”

The membership of the MDMEA encourages residents to vote in favor of this proposal to create a positive learning environment for our students and the families in our community.
