LANSING, Mich. — Finding a home for your health care isn’t always easy, but McLaren Greater Lansing has a clinic that’s ready for you with appointments within weeks, instead of months.

Offering internal medicine, along with obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) services, McLaren Greater Lansing’s Multi-Specialty Clinic can serve a wide variety of patients’ needs, all in one place.

“The McLaren Multi-Specialty Clinic sees all adult patients, and can treat complex medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, orthopedic issues, heart disease, stroke, asthma, depression, and many others,” said Ann Sims, McLaren Greater Lansing Multi-Specialty Clinic Manager. “We also offer services including immunizations, joint injections, A1C testing, and EKG, in addition to basic primary care.”

The clinic can care for pregnant patients from their initial visit through delivery, with resident and attending physicians who are experienced in working with high-risk patients. Other services include in-office procedures such as colposcopy, IUD insertion, Nexplanon placement, and nonstress tests. Patients also have access to a urogynecology clinic that offers help for issues such as incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

“Our patients are able to meet many of the residents who may be involved with their delivery, and we have a resident who is available for emergencies 24 hours a day, and able to answer questions,” said Cheryl Larva, DO, Chief Obstetrics & Gynecology resident at McLaren Greater Lansing.

Patients at McLaren’s Multi-Specialty Clinic have the benefit of a team-based approach, including care from a talented team of resident physicians who provide care under the guidance of an expert attending doctor.

“A resident physician is early in their career, and therefore, we are eager to see new patients and manage complex medical cases in order to further our training and deepen our medical knowledge,” said Shane B. Clark, DO, Chief Internal Medicine resident at McLaren Greater Lansing. “Resident physicians are able to discuss patient care, which allows for a comprehensive health care approach that includes both the resident physician and the attending physician.”

The Multi-Specialty Clinic also offers a wide array of laboratory services in its office, meaning that patients don’t have to travel to another location for lab work. For those who do need additional care, such as ultrasounds or imaging, the Multi-Specialty Clinic offers convenient access to services, thanks to its location within McLaren Greater Lansing hospital.
