After serving the community for nearly 40 years, Meridian Township Police Chief Dave Hall has announced he's retiring.
Hall started his career in December of 1978 as a patrol officer. He worked his way up to sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and then chief in 2004.
Meridian Township will start the process of hiring a new chief right away.
