Michigan reports 2,909 additional cases of COVID-19, 21 deaths over past 2 days

LANSING, Mich. — There are now 147,806 total cases of COVID-19 and 7,031 total deaths in Michigan, the state reported Monday.

That's up 2,909 cases and 21 deaths from Saturday.

The state says Monday's daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases since Oct. 17. The average number of new confirmed cases is 1,454 per day, the state said.

As of Oct. 17, 109,539 people in Michigan have recovered from the virus.
