LANSING, Mich. — Another grim milestone as Michigan hits a single-day record with 9,779 COVID-19 cases and 53 deaths.
To date, the total confirmed cases total 295,177 and there have been a total of 8,377 deaths in the state of Michigan.
Yesterday, Michigan reported 7,592 new cases of COVID-19 and 134 deaths. However, 61 of the reported deaths from yesterday came from a review of vital records.
The state has set several records for single-day increases going back to the beginning of November.
