EAST LANSING, Mich. — On Friday, the Michigan State University Board of Trustees unanimously voted to increase the rates for student's room and board.
In a presentation to the trustees, during the meeting, they were told that the increase would run just under three-percent (2.97).
The cost for in-state undergraduate students will increase to $10,272 for the next academic year.
The trustees were told prior to their vote that even with the increase, MSU would rank as the fourth lowest school in room and board costs in the Big Ten Conference.
