LANSING, Mich. — Gather the family for a brand-new holiday tradition, a Christmas Eve storytime with Capital Area District Libraries! Tune in for the premiere on either Lansing’s Christmas station 99.1 WFMK or 99wfmk.com at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Children’s Librarian Miss Cassie from CADL’s Downtown Lansing branch will read Clement Clarke Moore’s classic The Night Before Christmas. Visions of sugarplums guaranteed! There will also be special holiday messages from CADL’s Executive Director Scott Duimstra and Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

“I can't think of a better way of spending Christmas Eve than sitting with family, sipping hot chocolate, eating cookies and listening to a holiday classic,” said Scott Duimstra, executive director of Capital Area District Libraries.

The storytime will repeat every hour until midnight on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Under the leadership of an appointed Board of Trustees, CADL serves most residents in Ingham County and part of Eaton County. With 13 branches and a Mobile Library, the service area includes 23 different municipalities. The system is funded through a district-wide millage.
