JACKSON, Mich. — The puppies are coming....the puppies are coming...
Friday night, the Jackson County Animal Shelter will transport over 25 pups from Mississippi to Jackson. (Source WILX)Friday night, the Jackson County Animal Shelter will transport over 25 pups from Mississippi to Jackson.
The doggies will be young, probably a few months old and a variety of breeds including Shepherds and Labs.
"Compassion doesn't stop at the County Line or state line. We have adopters looking for puppies and we want to accommodate them by giving them the experience of adopting instead of buying while we are helping a shelter that is overwhelmed with puppies and does not have
the capacity to house them all. It's a win-win." said JCAS Director Lydia Sattler.
The pups will be available for adoption on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
They will be available on first come, first serve basis.
All pups will have age appropriate shots and be micro-chipped.
Adoption fees are $150 for large dogs and $200 for puppies and small dogs, and will include a free sample bag of food.
"Every time you adopt, you save a life and it is rewarding for both the animal and your family," said Sattler.
The Jackson County Animal Shelter is open 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. You can see all animals currently available for adoption at www.petango.com
