Here are this week's hottest home video releases:
The Maze Runner: Death Cure
The teen-friendly action series winds to its conclusion in an explosive manner, settling lingering plot threads and character arcs. Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) leads his revolutionary group of Gladers, who breaks into Last City to save their friends. Extras include deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, filmmaker commentary and a slew of background featurettes.
Paddington 2
Ben Whishaw reprises his role as a prim, proper and ever-dignified bear who casually integrates himself into British society. In a particularly disastrous sequence of events, he winds up in jail for a crime he didn't commit and becomes set on clearing his name. The adorable family comedy is a strong follow-up to the 2014 original. For my full review, click here. Extras include filmmaker commentary, a music video and a smattering of quirky featurettes, including instructions on how to make a marmalade sandwich.
Shameless: Season 8
Showtime's sassy dramedy about members of a broke family making their way on Chicago's southside shows no signs of losing its momentum. Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, Cameron Monaghan and Jeremy Allen White make up the core of one of the best ensemble casts on TV. A pair of background featurettes make up the extras.
