After nearly eight years of serving Jackson's downtown the iconic Pickle Barrel Deli closed it's doors.
The owners aren't throwing in the towel just yet though. They plan on reopening in January at a location that hasn't been announced yet.
You may remember the "Pickel Barrel Deli" back in the 70's and 80's in Jackson. Seven and a half years ago, during the recession, owners decided to open up shop in the then empty downtown. Foot traffic is what they'll miss the most.
A new venue hasn't been announced yet. The owner is still working things out with the bank. The deli plans to make it's big announcement soon, on their Facebook page.
