Police arrest man for breaking into relative's home

A suspect who is believed to have broken into several family members’ homes was arrested by police, Wednesday.

On June 19, the Jackson Police Department investigated a report of a break-in of a home in the 1400 block of W. Michigan Avenue. Deputy Chief Elmer Hitt said that the suspect, a 20-year-old man, is a relative of the resident, and money was taken.

Hitt added the other suspected break-ins are of relatives of the suspect, as well. One of the incidents was on Wolf Lake Road, and was investigated by the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff.

Police are working to determine of other break-ins were reported to law enforcement.
