LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State Police have issued an Endangered Missing Advisory for a Lansing teenager that police say has been missing since April.

14-year-old Taylor Simmet was last seen on Princeton Avenue in Lansing on Apr. 14, MSP said.

Simmet is 5'5" and weighs about 250 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Michigan State Police say Simmet was initially reported as a runaway with the Lansing Police Department on Apr. 16.

Simmet has a history of running away, police said.

Michigan State Police say on May 1, it is believed Simmet used social media to reach out to a family member and indicated she is possibly being held against her will in an undisclosed location in the Chicago area.

Anyone with information on Simmet's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600 immediately.
