The candidates running for Michigan's governor will be appearing in their first gubernatorial debate on Friday.
Gretchen Whitmer and Bill Schuette will be in Grand Rapids for the televised event.
Each candidate will get a chance to speak in an opening and closing statement, as well as, answer questions from a moderator.
This will be their first face-to-face debate.
They do have another debate schedule. It will be held in Detroit on October 24th.
