LANSING, Mich. — Heavy rains that moved through mid-Michigan Thursday afternoon and early evening causing massive flooding in several areas on this Fourth of July holiday.
Authorities say some drivers on U.S. Interstate 96 in Delta Township actually hydroplaned from all the water on the highway.
Other places saw major flooding in streets and around homes.
According to Fox 47 Storm Shield Weather, those that saw significant flooding Thursday evening received anywhere from one to two inches of rainfall.
Local authorities are reminding drivers not to drive through flooded roads.
