Shedding a light on abuse at MSU Tuesday

There is an all day event happening on the campus of MSU on Tuesday, April 10 called "Take Back the Night."

This event is dedicated to shedding a light on the prevalence of domestic and sexual violence. The mission statement reads that the event has the "intent of transforming culture and breaking the silence around domestic and sexual abuse, in the hopes of empowering more survivors to come forward."

This event is a collaborative effort between members of MSU and the Greater Lansing area and is free to the public to attend.

It takes place at MSU's Beaumont Tower - 375 W. Circle Dr. in East Lansing.

The schedule of events is below:
10AM-4PM - Clothesline Project and Resource Fair
11am-12pm - DIY Mindfulness Crafts
1-2pm - Trauma Informed Self-Defense Workshop
2:30pm-4pm - March through MSU Campus 
4:15-5:15pm - Keynote Speaker Morgan McCaul at Beaumont Field
5:30pm-7pm - Speak Out at Beaumont Field
7-7:30pm - March to East Lansing City Hall
7:30pm-8pm - Candlelight Vigil
