Local students are learning problem solving skills over the summer in a nationally recognized STEM program.
It's called "Camp Invention," and it's happening this week at Elmwood Elementary School in Lansing.
The camp gives students a problem to solve, and they have to come up with creative solutions.
Organizers say it offers students a different way to learn.
The camp is open to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.
Middle schoolers and high schoolers can apply to be mentors and interns.
