Students train for culinary careers

Posted

Local teens from across Mid-Michigan are turning up the heat in cooking up new careers in the food and hospitality industries.

They study at the Wilson Talent Center in Mason.

The school's nationally-ranked culinary arts and hospitality program sets students up for careers in a growing, yet competitive, field. Not only does the program train students for various work in professional kitchens, it also sets students up for competitions and helps them find a college-level culinary program.

The teens also operate an on-campus cafe, a food truck and catering service.
