The option for schools of choice celebrated in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. — Hundreds of students were at the State Capitol on Wednesday to celebrate "Schools of Choice."

Students were joined by their parents and teachers from across Michigan and from a variety of educational backgrounds.

The ceremony involved student's giving testimonies about the benefits of Schools of Choice, a dance performance and a speed chess match.

The awareness event for Schools of Choice also highlighted the options for students and families around the country.

These types of celebrations are being held all week, 400,000 of them, across the nation.
