ONONDAGA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified the body that was found in the Grand River in Onondaga Tuesday night.
Savanna Paige's body was found in a river in Onondaga. (Source: WILX).The body has been identified as 22-year-old Savanna Paige Jacklin of Battle Creek.
The Michigan State Police began an investigation in March of 2019 when she was reported missing.
Paige was identified through DNA confirmation Friday afternoon.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office will continue to assist the Michigan State Police in determining circumstances surrounding Jacklin's death.
On Thursday, June 27, the Sheriff's office confirmed the body was that of a female.
Deputies responded to Baldwin Park around 7:30 p.m. on June 25 for the report of a body in the river.
Kayakers located the body south of the park and called 911, according to a press release.
The Captial Area Dive Team responded and recovered a body.
The death is being investigated as suspicious at this time.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine a cause of death and to help with identifying the body.
