LANSING, Mich. — An accident that took place on westbound I-94 closed the freeway around 5 a.m. on Monday.
A trailer from the I-94 construction project flipped over on westbound I-94 and traffic was being redirected to Elm Road.
MDOT says a vehicle hit the trailer causing a 3-hour closure on the highway.
The MDOT project wasn’t affected because it is shutdown for the next few weeks due to the holidays.
The project includes resurfacing 4 miles of 94 between Elm Road and Sargent Road.
It is unclear if there were any injuries.
