LANSING, Mich. — The second annual “Will Goodale King of Kickball” will be held September 21 at Towner Road park in Haslett. The event will have four age brackets of teams competing. Each bracket will play in a round robin tournament to complete in as many games as possible. At the end of the day, the teams with the most points per bracket, will get to designate who from their team will serve as king or queen until the next event.
The four age brackets are: Elementary, Middle School, High School, and 18+. Last year, in the 18+ division, we had teacher teams, police department teams, family teams and business teams.
Teams consist of 6-12 players, with a maximum of 8 players on the field at one time. Teams need to be at least six players with one captain.
The day will be filled with other age appropriate activities. There will be an inflatables area for the younger kids to enjoy and other activities spread throughout the park. There will be a food trucks to satisfy hungers during the day.
Teams will play rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the event will try to be scheduled on a different date.
The entry fee is $120 per team and you can pay with a credit card on this website or by contacting Shane at shane@shanegoodale.com.
