Man in viral Comerica pizza spitting video pleads guilty to felony

The food service worker captured on video spitting on pizza dough at Comerica Park has pleaded guilty to a felony, according to court records. 

Earlier this month, Jaylon Kerley, 20, of Roseville, allegedly spat on a pizza and covered his saliva with pizza sauce. The incident was captured on camera and reported to police by the head of security at Comerica Park.

Kerley tested negative for any sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and any type of Hepatitis, after the city health department requested a mandatory health testing.

He was charged with one count of Food Law Violations, MCL 289.5107(2), a 4-year felony, and one count of Food Law Violations, MCL 289.5107(1), a 90-day misdemeanor.

Kerley is due back in court on Nov. 15 for sentencing.
