Parents may soon be able to eavesdrop on their kids without facing consequences.
Michigan lawmakers just passed a bill in the House, which now heads to the Senate.
Right now, recording or listening to your child's private conversation is against the law. In fact, you could be charged with a felony and face up to two years behind bars for simply going through your child's phone without their consent.
However, this new bill would add parental exemptions to that law.
