LANSING, Mich. — For the past 7 years the Friends of Turner-Dodge House and Lansing Parks & Recreation have partnered to bring forth the Festival of Trees. This event showcases the holiday season and local businesses to raise money for the Turner Dodge house.
From Dec. 7 through Jan. 1, all three floors of the Turner-Dodge Home will feature close to 60 trees decorated for the holidays. Monies raised for the admission price go toward projects to preserve and enhance the Turner-Dodge House. For hours and information, please call (517) 483-4220. The Festival of Trees opens to the public on Saturday December 7th and runs thru Wednesday January 1st. Hours are Tuesday- Thursday 1:00-7:00 PM, Friday-Sunday 12:00-5:00 PM. The Festival will be open Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day from 12:00-5:00 PM. $5.00 admission at the door, Children 12 and under are free.
In walking around the Turner--Dodge house for the first time, the trees throughout the home are amazing. The intricate work and imagination that went into creating each tree for this is so evident. You will want to explore each tree and look for the connections between the business and the tree design.
