The free summer concert series at Beacon Park in downtown Detroit kicks off in June, with concerts June 15, July 21 and Aug. 17.
The concert series is presented by the DTE Beacon Park Foundation with help from the Downtown Detroit Partnership.
Nashville-based indie-alternative rock band Moon Taxi kicks off the series on Saturday, June 15. On July 21, Grammy-nominated singer Tamia takes the stage, and on August 17, Thomas McClary Commodores Experience will commemorate Motown's 60th anniversary.
Beacon Park's Free Summer Concert Series begins at 6:30 p.m. Concert goers will also be able to shop at the open-air Night Market, which will feature local vendors and artisan goods.
