MSP: No staff or students harmed after 6-year-old brings gun to Michigan school

An alleged misunderstanding resulted in a six-year-old student bringing a gun to Landmark Academy in Kimball Township Tuesday.

According to Michigan State Police Sgt. Todd Leveille, the incident was a misunderstanding as the child and parent were planning to go hunting together later in the day.

No staff or students were endangered during the incident, Sgt. Leveille said.

The six-year-old student was sent home, according police, and no charges are being sought.
