Senator Debbie Stabenow (D) faces her challenger, John James (R), in a one hour, in-depth discussion of the issues of importance to the state. During the debate, the candidates will answer questions from a panel of local journalists:
· Chad Livengood, senior reporter at Crain’s Detroit Business
· Chuck Stokes, editorial director of WXYZ-TV
· Vickie Thomas, city beat reporter for WWJ-AM
The debate took place on Monday, Oct. 15, at 12:35 p.m. during a meeting of the Detroit Economic Club.
Sen. Stabenow, who was raised in Clare, MI, is seeking a fourth term in office. Her opponent, John James, from Farmington Hills is the president of James Group International.
