Former Vice President Joe Biden came to Mid-Michigan to support democratic candidates running in Tuesday's mid-term election.
FOX 47 News’s Cryss Walker was there for the Get Out the Vote Rally at Lansing Community College.
“We have to make it clear, we have to make it clear that we democrats we choose hope over fear”, said Former Vice President Biden at the rally.
Some people say they felt inspired.
“I think just taking back what America stands for. I think that was probably the most important message that we are a country for everyone”, said voter Monique Fields-Foster.
Others say it was just what they needed to hear ahead of Election Day.
“My reaction today is that I'm hoping that come Tuesday regardless of your political affiliation everyone gets out and vote because this is a very crucial time”, said resident Kem Grayson.
Thursday night the former vice president was greeted with cheers, while targeting 8-th District voters.
“Every one of us has a reason to work to make sure we win this election”, Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer told the crowd.
Democrats told News 10 the event was held at LCC to connect with millennials.
“I think that it's important in particular for young people here at LCC and Michigan State students to see that they literally have the ability to swing this election”, said Democratic Congressional candidate Elissa Slotkin.
Slotkin is running against republican incumbent Mike Bishop for Congress.
