Netflix to stream Disney exclusively

It appears Netflix is slowly becoming the ruler of all things motion picture, announcing Monday that it would become the exclusive streaming carrier for Disney films.

“From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive U.S. pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar,” the company wrote in a blog post.

The concept itself isn’t new, as Netflix and Disney announced the arrangement back in 2012 – a deal that took nearly four years to come to life.

Netflix did not mention any movies by name, but CNET notes that the deal will encompass both live-action and cartoon films, spanning from “Star Wars” to “Finding Dory.”

Currently – and until the transition in September -- pay-TV channel Starz maintain the rights to Disney's creations.

But there are plenty of things to keep you preoccupied on Netflix until then. Watch the video below to learn what you can expect this summer.
