More victims are seeking justice for sexual abuse that spanned almost four decades by now deceased U of M physician, Dr. Robert Anderson.

The firm representing the original whistle blower victim and former U of M wrestler, Tad Deluca, says it's now representing over 40 alleged victims.

Lead attorney, Parker Stinar, says those victims are former football, track & field, wrestling and hockey athletes, including one hockey pro who went on to play in the NHL.

Anderson worked for the university where he treated countless student athletes between 1968 and when her retired in 2003.

He died in 2008, but it wasn’t until a decade later that police opened an investigation jump started by a letter from former U of M wrestler Tad Deluca, who said his complaints directly to the university had gone unanswered.

"I spoke up by letter in 1975 and was ignored and denigrated by University of Michigan. I'm here today to let them know I will not be ignored again," said Deluca upon speaking publicly for the first time.

Included in the disturbing allegations from Deluca and several others is that the doctor performed unnecessary testicle and rectal examinations.

Stinar wants to know what university officials actually knew about the ongoing abuse.

The University of Michigan declined to further add to comment today but maintains it wasn't made aware of the allegations until 2018.

The law firm for the alleged U-M abuse victims are expected to speak out at a conference Wednesday night. They will discuss the meetings had with the University of Michigan.

In the meantime, the university has established a hotline for which potential victims can call to report abuse. To date, they’ve received 103 victim complaints against Dr. Anderson. They’re still urging more to come forward as they investigate.
