Researchers are one step closer to creating an effective form of birth control for men.

The University of Kansas has begun clinical trials of a birth control gel.

The gel would be applied to a man's shoulders daily.

It contains a mix of testosterone and progesterone that work to decrease a man's sperm count.

As soon as use of the gel stops, the users count should return to normal.
