Senator Gary Peters has tested negative for COVID-19 Saturday.

The senator sought a test for the virus after having sat near Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman and Senator Ron Johnson. Johnson announced his positive diagnosis Saturday.

According to a tweet from Peters, he took part in a meeting with Chairman Johnson on Wednesday. The senator also reported he feels fine and has not experienced any symptoms related to the virus.
