Can you imagine a world with no coffee? Sadly, that could become a reality.
New research from the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in the UK shows 60 percent of coffee species found in the wild could soon go extinct.
Out of 124 types of wild coffee, 75 are at risk of extinction.
The reason is because of global climate changes, deforestation, droughts and disease.
According to the study, governments and commercial producers can reverse the situation by increasing protections for coffee species and stockpiling more seeds.
Fewer coffee crops means your morning cup could get more expensive and taste worse.
