A teen will be able to stay on life support and will be transferred to a long-term care facility.
Titus Cromer Jr. has been hospitalized at Beaumont since October, where he was taken in for an undisclosed brain injury.
The hospital declared him brain-dead and planned to remove him from life support, but that plan has changed.
"With the holiday season being upon us and this being about faith and love and hope, this is the most incredible gift," said Cromer's mother's attorney Jim Rasor.
Before he's moved to the new facility, a doctor must perform at least two procedures, including a tracheotomy.
Once those procedures are complete, Cromer must be moved within 14 days to a facility that his family must find.
