West Bloomfield man charged for allegedly operating organized retail scheme out of liquor store

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged a West Bloomfield man in connection to an organized retail scheme ran out of a liquor store. 

From June 2017 through November 2017, 37-year-old Robert Jamal Yono allegedly operate an organized  retail fraud scheme out of the Omni Liquor on 7 Mile Road in Detroit, according to the Prosecutor's office.

Officials say Yono would ask for specific items that would be stolen from local stores such as Walmart, CVS or Rite Aid. Yono then allegedly purchased the stolen goods to resell out of the Omni Liquor store. 

He was charged with several counts including: conducting a criminal enterprise, organized retail crime, and receiving and concealing stolen property.

Yono is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
