Orange Creamsicle-filled Twizzlers Are Back, Just In Time For Summer

Here’s another reason to get excited about summer: Hershey’s has secretly brought their Creamsicle Filled Twizzlers back to shelves for a delicious summer treat.

In April 2017, Hershey’s debuted the creamsicle-filled treats along with the rest of its “Flavors of America” line. The collection included a variety of limited edition flavors, including California Strawberry Kit Kats, Georgia Honey Roasted Reese’s, New York Cherry Cheesecake Hershey’s Bar, Hawaii Coconut Almond Hershey’s Kisses, Key Lime Pie Twizzlers and Flavor of Texas BBQ Payday Bar.

Even though not all of those flavors are back, it looks like you’ll be able to sink your teeth into the Creamsicle Twizzlers this summer. Some loyal fans have already found them again while scouring the candy aisles of their local stores.

Instagram user @CandyHunting was the lucky one to find the once special edition Twizzlers while shopping in the candy aisle at Walmart. The commenters on the post were divided — some loved the flavor while others were disappointed that Hershey’s chose this flavor over others. One wrote, “I liked the key lime pie ones.”

However, others applauded the decision for the return of the candy, saying that they love them. One wrote, “Yummy 😻.”

That wasn’t the only sighting of the Creamsicle-flavored candy. Instagram user @threesnackateers also welcomed the treat back to shelves!

The account posted multiple photos of the treat, also pointing out that a strawberry smoothie flavor has also apparently hit shelves.

Fans also shared their excitement over the news on Twitter. User @johncecilprice posted, “I’m not really a candy kinda guy. But this…”

Fellow user @Josh_Crow_ celebrated the return of the Creamsicle Twizzlers with a post and a few summer-inspired emojis.  “🏝 🌴 Summer Is Here! 🌞🍍”

Hershey’s was just as excited about the initial release! In 2017, when it announced the flavor, the company touted a party on the outside and the inside.

If you love creamsicle-flavored snacks, you could also give this recipe for orange creamsicle truffles a try in your own kitchen! This version from Cooking Classy requires no baking and only calls for a few simple ingredients. Plus, you don’t even need a hand mixer for this one — you can stir with a spatula or spoon.

Orange zest and rich white chocolate are paired to create that classic Creamsicle flavor.

You can also try this recipe from Deliciously Yum. Once you’ve finished whipping them up, this blogger suggests popping the treats in your mouth straight from the freezer. The refreshing treat will help cool you off on those hot summer days when you’re spending time outdoors!

Since they’re so simple to make, you can even have your kids join in on making them. The truffles will keep in the refrigerator for about a week. They can also last about a month in the freezer.

Make sure you make enough because your friends and family are definitely going to want to get in on the sweet action!
