As the country looks to rebound, you may be wondering is more help on the way from the government.
There's talk of more stimulus money and here is a look at three of the most-likely scenarios that could help with your job security and help you make ends meet.
The Senate is back for the first time in weeks this week, but so are the politics and it seems whatever comes next, it won't come as easy as before.</p><p>Usually in an election year, Congress doesn't take up much meaningful legislation and is instead campaigning, but in a pandemic, they are no longer a lame duck.
The first idea is a bailout for city and state governments. How will this help you? In Michigan, cities and the state itself are hurting, laying off workers with tax revenue up.
As for city or state assistance, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called for a trillion dollar bailout.
Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has expressed early skepticism, and so has the president.
The second big idea – more small business loans.</p><p>Money ran out for the loans the first time in just 13 days. There are calls for some to give more, but so far, no specifics for direction from the White House.
Finally, the third big idea – another stimulus check.
Some Democrats have suggested a $2,000 check should be issued. The president said that won't happen unless he gets a payroll tax cut, which many on the left don't like.
