Steve Yzerman doesn't speak a lot publicly.
The Red Wings general manager was a guest on Monday at the annual Detroit Economic Club luncheon, with Jeff Blashill and nearly the full roster of players.
He spoke about the Red Wings rebuild.
"We have a process that we'll go through, and we'll stick to it. I'm confident we'll get there," he said.
Yzerman echoed his comments from earlier in the season, backing Jeff Blashill's coaching and his players' professionalism. He also talked about drafting, the process of scouting, and building through those efforts.
"It's kind of a funny process," Yzerman said. "The same 32 organizations, we're at a game at this arena, and we gotta get to a game and everybody does the exact same thing: jumps in a car, goes to the next game."

Yzerman spoke on a pannel with Blashill, Dylan Larkin, Luke Glendening, and Tyler Bertuzzi. He recalled his process of returning to Detroit.
"In the spring, when Chris I. reached out, for me it was an easy decision to come back," he said.
