LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Community College’s baseball and softball teams are having great seasons on the diamond. Both teams are conference champions and both are nationally ranked in the top 10.
The Lady Stars are enjoying their best conference record in seven years at 29-3. Their overall record is 35-15 as they celebrate their fourth straight Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference Championship.
They rank 9th in the nation and return to the field, Wednesday, May, 8 to face Mott Community College for the MCCAA State Championship. The District I championship will be up next as the team travels to Sandusky, Ohio May 13-15 with the winner moving on to the NJCAA World Series May 22-25.
The baseball team is flourishing under the leadership of coach, Jordan Keur. They are in the midst of their best conference record in the college’s history; 27-1 with the best overall regular season win percentage in school history at 34-6.
The team is celebrating their third consecutive MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship and enjoying a current national ranking of 7th. The boys return to the diamond, Wednesday, May, 8 against Kellogg Community College for the MCCAA State Championship. They travel to Sports Force Park in Sandusky, Ohio May 14-17 for the Region XII Championship with the winner advancing to the NJCAA World Series May 25 – June 1.
