ESPN is reporting that the Big Ten will play fall sports this year, but only within the conference.
The report says if college football can be played, university presidents and athletic directors favor the conference-only approach because it would eliminate some long-distance travel and help ensure teams are tested for COVID-19 universally.
However, the report also says there is some schools that would prefer to also be able to keep one non-conference, marquee non-Big Tenn matchups as well.
A decision is expected to be announced as early as this week.
