Former Detroit Lions DT Haloti Ngata announces retirement...from on top of a mountain

Former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata announced his retirement on Monday morning...from a mountain.

The 35-year-old spent 14 years in the NFL, three of which were in Detroit before his final year in 2018 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ngata made the announcement on Instagram, from Uhuru Peak Tanzania on Mount Kilimanjaro.

During his time in Detroit, he played three seasons and had 53 tackles, six sacks and eight tackles for loss.
